Aston Martin: "Newey's impact on the team will be felt from day one"

Adrian Newey will start work at Aston Martin's Silverstone factory on March 3.
While the design guru will likely focus on the new technical regulations for 2026, it's thought he could also offer important observations on Aston Martin's newly unveiled 2025 car, the AMR25.
Speaking about Newey's arrival at the Aston Martin launch, Andy Cowell emphasised that he was one of the rare engineers who mastered every aspect of the vehicle.
"Adrian is one of those rare engineers who can combine aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics and telemetry data," Cowell said.

"By communicating effectively with the pilots, it can even reveal details that are not visible in the telemetry."
"I think we will feel his impact on the team from day one."
"I'm sure it bothers him not to be able to work on a Formula 1 car at the moment. Especially with the new technical regulations about to come into force."
"I think once it arrives it will provide important observations on the AMR25 concept and provide guidance on where to focus in the vehicle development process."
"He really has a broad perspective and a strong determination. That's why he will be a great asset to our team," he said.
